Last month we introduced you to the Comfy Workwear Revolution and several comfortable sustainable clothing alternatives to office attire. After all, our closets should be a reflection of our current lives and mindset. Since then, we’ve loved seeing your posts about joining the #ComfyWorkwearRevolution, supporting sustainable fashion in Canada and the different ways that you’ve been styling your Encircled pieces!
We’ve rounded up 11 of our favourite work-from-home styles for you, because sometimes all you need is a bit of inspiration.
Andrea’s look: The Comfy Puff Sleeve Dress in black, black stockings, and black booties
Why we love it: Andrea shows us that a LBD works just as well for daytime wear as it does for evening. Adding a pair of tights keeps your legs warm during the winter months and provides that extra layer of coziness . Andrea’s black suede boots give the ensemble a hint of texture, which is a great way to add dimension to an all-black outfit. The elegant funnel neckline of the Comfy Puff Sleeve Dress is nicely complemented by her up-do and scrunchie. (We’ve got a perfect recycled black satin one to match!) Scroll through the post to see some other great styling options from Andrea.
Jessica’s Outfit: The Dressy Legging, grey oversized knit sweater, camel sweater coat, and black boots
Why we love it: Where to begin! Jessica is the epitome of cozy at-home comfort in this ensemble. Few things are more comfortable than a knit sweater over leggings, and Jessica has completed the look with a beautiful camel coat and black boots. We’re big fans of this beautiful sweater coat that can be paired with any outfit for running errands, walking your dog, or grabbing a coffee!
Emma’s Look: The Everyday Long Sleeve Tee in black, jeans, blazer, booties, and aviators
Why we love it: The Everyday Long Sleeve Tee is one of our favourite basics to style because the options are endless! Emma’s addition of a blazer keeps the look professional, and we love the olive tone against her hair colour. The light-wash blue jeans are ideal for a more relaxed day, but these can easily be swapped for black denim or The Dressy Sweatpant if you need a dressier option. White heeled booties add an extra pep to her step and nicely round out this classic look.
4. @jenpistor in The Evolve Top
Jennifer’s Look: The Evolve Top in black, flowy wide-leg pants, and a checkered blazer
Why we love it: As Jennifer puts it, “Our home has been a school, a restaurant, a coffee shop, our staycation spot, a dance studio, and a work space.” With this in mind, we highly recommend the versatility of the Evolve Top, which can be worn eight different ways for a variety of activities. Jennifer has paired hers with a flowy, wide-leg pant and checkered blazer for a comfy yet polished look. When she’s ready to turn the home into a dance studio, Jennifer can use the Evolve Top’s snaps to create a breathable sleeveless shirt!
Audrey’s Outfit: The Dressy Sweatpant in navy, red sweater, and a white collared shirt
Why we love it: There are a few outfit recipes that guarantee a chic look, and a collared shirt layered under a sweater is one of them. Additionally, pairing neutral bottoms such as the navy Dressy Sweatpants with a sweater like Audrey’s is a great way to add a pop of colour to your wardrobe. Styling tip: a fitted shirt will help avoid bulkiness, but make sure to find a shirt that is long enough that the tails peek out beneath the sweater to complete the look!
6. @kiki_athanas in The Unblazer
Kiki’s Outfit: The Unblazer in dark heathered grey, pleated culottes, and a vintage band tee
Why we love it: By pairing a vintage tee with her Unblazer, Kiki lets her personality shine through while maintaining a professional look. Her culottes provide a bright contrast to the darker neutrals on top for a nice balanced colour palette. (Make sure to check out our previous post with Kiki about Building a Healthy Relationship with Food!)
Why we love it: Sticking to a monochromatic colour palette is a great way to streamline your look and dress up an otherwise casual outfit. (It can even make you appear taller!) Mariam demonstrates this by choosing 'heather oatmeal' for both her Fair Jogger and Fair Hoodie. The result is a simple, modern and sophisticated take on the jogging suit.
Steph’s outfit: The Dressy Sweatpant in navy blue rib, white button down, and loafers // The Dressy Pullover in navy blue rib, leopard midi skirt, and heeled mules // The Dressy Sweatpants, The Dressy Pullover, structured jacket, and white sneakers // The Dressy Sweatpants, The Dressy Pullover, and a neutral sweater coat.
Why we love it: We love each of Steph’s four outfits so much, we couldn’t pick just one! Steph shows us just how versatile the Bamboo Rib Dressy Sweatsuit is by creating four completely different looks. Whether working from home, dressing up, running errands or spending a cozy evening in, comfort is the common thread when it comes to dressing in bamboo clothing.
Why we love it: It’s hard to beat the simplicity of a matching set, but we especially love our ultra-comfortable Fair Lounge Set on Elizabeth. Wearing a matching set also calls for some fun accessories! Sunglasses, gold layered necklaces, and a pop of red lipstick really finish off this look.
What we love: This whole vibe! If you’ve been on the hunt for stylish sweatpants and a top to match, look no further than our best-selling Dressy Sweatpants and Dressy Sweatshirt to take you from work to lounge and back again. Natalie cozies up at home by pairing her Dressy Sweatsuit with a colourful toque and relaxing with a nice cup of tea.
Raquel’s outfit: The Everyday Twist Top in camel, and high-waisted striped trousers.
What we love: Raquel demonstrates one of the many ways to tie our versatile Everyday Twist Top. Her striped pants add a big dash of personality to the outfit, and the high waist creates a beautiful silhouette. Most importantly, we’re loving Raquel’s confident pose! Styling tip: try reversing the Everyday Twist Top and tying a knot at the back for the look of a beautiful high neckline and open back.
