The Revolve Dress was created to give you an effortless and versatile garment that can take the place of three items in your closet. It easily transforms into a top, tunic, and dress. The reversible cowl neckline offers three additional styling options with a boat neckline, so you can do more with less, elegantly.

Ethically-Made Clothing

Encircled clothing is locally-made within 60km of our studio in Toronto, Canada at garment factories we vet for standards against our Ethical Code of Conduct checklist.

Local production in Canada means fair wages, safe working conditions, regulated time off, provincially funded health care and the right to unionize. Workers are protected by the Province of Ontario Employee Standards Act. We visit factories regularly, often weekly if not more frequenlty.

We prioritize working with local production on every component from labels, to zippers, to fabric due to the higher quality and standard of life offered to those who make the products locally in Canada.

Environmentally-Conscious

Low impact dyes that are free of harmful chemicals, and tested to be safe for your skin and safe for the workers harvesting, knitting and dying the fabric.

A large portion of our fabric (approx. 50%) is knit and dyed locally in Ontario, reducing our carbon footprint significantly.

Every fabric contains naturally-derived fibres that meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability. Read more on the Fabric below for each style.

Where noted, our fabrics are certified yarns, which means that they're sustainably-sourced in a way that honours the planet in the process.

Easy elegance

I have the revolve dress in grass green and I love it! Cool soft fabric that hugs and drapes in all the right places. I feel confident and a little **** when I wear it :)
Mostly I wear it as a shirt or in a tunic style. It’s lightweight so I layer during cold seasons but I’m looking forward to wearing it as a dress in the spring. So versatile!

Versatile, can be dressed up or casual

I’m very impressed by this dress. It’s soft and comfortable, yet it’s easy to dress up if need be for a more polished look. I have business trips quite a few times during the year where I have to be at the head office so I need items that I can use for the office and for a casual looks as I hate packing a lot of items for 1 time uses. I found a lot of other brands that have versatile dresses but they always looked too dressy (evening wear) for office wear even though they say you can use it for that. I came across this site and saw the revolve dress. It feels comfortable, wore it with jeans hanging with friends, but if I throw on a blazer with the dress it’s appropriate for the office or I can make it into a top with slacks and again great for office wear because of the shirt/dress’ design. Definitely a fan of this dress and I’ll definitely be looking at more versatile items at Encircled in the future.

Everyone needs a Revolve Dress

This dress is so comfortable! The fabric is so so soft, and I love how you can dress it up or down. I stepped out of my comfort zone (black) and ordered the purple and I’m very happy I did, though I might order it in black too. You won’t be disappointed.

As a petite, curvy person, I had my doubts that this dress would work on me, but it looks great! Just slouchy and just fitted enough to look relaxed and sexy. Very nice!

Fit

FIT ADVICE

The Revolve Dress is designed to be drapey and tapers in towards the hips. Its tapered cut is what allows you to change the length from knee length to tunic, to a top. We recommend staying with your typical dress size.

Model's Measurements

Shannon, shown in Sky Blue, Navy Blue and Grass Green, is 5'7" and is wearing size XS. Adecia, shown in Sapphire Blue, Plum Purple and Black, is 5'9" and is wearing size S. Kenna, shown in Black, is 5’5" and is wearing XXL. Aisha, shown in Black, is 5'11" and is wearing size L.

Fabric & Care

Fabric

🍃 Made from a blend of Lenzing Modal® | Spandex

Modal is a naturally derived, plant-based fabric cultivated from beech-tree pulp which is sustainably sourced in Austria, and neighbouring countries. Modal is made through an environmentally-conscious process where 95% of water and materials used to make the fabric are recycled. The fabric is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified which means it is free of harmful chemicals. This soft and drapey fabric feels beautiful against your skin.

Care

Machine wash on the gentle cycle, preferably inside out. Hang to dry. For gentlest care, hand wash. Do not dry clean, and do not put in the dryer. A light iron can be used if needed, but please use a towel in between the iron and garment.
