Travel Muse, Kirsten + the Traveling Cardi in NYC

At Encircled, our designs are built for both travel + life.

However, we love travel and want to encourage women to wander, explore and learn. Last year, we introduced a series called the Traveling Cardi. This year, we continue the series by focusing on Travel Muses.

Women who love the travel, and traverse the world with their Chrysalis Cardis in tow. These are the wanderlusters. The adventurers. And we are sharing their stories.

Our first Travel Muse who we are following for the next few weeks is Kirsten.

In the words of Kirsten on her 'staycation' in NYC,

Even though I live in the area stay-cations are always fun!

A bunch of friends and I rented a hotel room in New York City and took advantage of all the fun things our great city has to offer.

We stayed right near Bryant Park and the New York Library, two of my favorite spots and went out for delicious meals and spent our Saturday night seeing Sleep No More, an interactive theater experience that requires you everyone to wear a mask.

It was VERY cool and unlike anything I had ever done before.

The weekend was perfect, except for the weather -- it was FREEZING!

I wore my Chrysalis Cardi all weekend as a scarf! I love wearing it this way because it’s nice and thick when doubled up keeping me super warm.

When the wind is blowing I even wear it as a scarf but pull it over my head like a hood, keeping my ears warm too!

Kirsten is originally from NY state. A love of fashion and travel started at an early age, and has followed her throughout her life. She has lived in Rhode Island, Los Angeles, and Paris, France. After living in Paris, Kirsten moved to Brighton, UK to pursue a Master's Degree in Creative Media. Traveling is truly her passion.
