How do you know that we’re not just another brand talking the sustainability talk, but not actually walking the walk?
We always have and always wil.
Encircled was built on the concept of no compromises, and sustainability is in our DNA.
Yes, we’re passionate about creating beautiful, trendless, comfortable designs. But we’re equally as passionate about producing locally, working with sustainable and biodegradable fabrics and having the smallest carbon footprint possible.
We won’t compromise, so you don’t have to either.
We’re a certified B Corporation, which means we’re legally required to consider the impact of our business decisions on our workers, suppliers, community, the environment, and you, our customer.
When we use the terms “sustainability”, “safe working conditions”, “fair wages” “ethical business” “eco-friendly fabrics”, unlike many fashion brands, they’re genuine claims, and our B Corporation certification can vouch for that.
Oeko-what-now?
This is another third party certification that proves the majority of all threads, buttons and accessories have been tested for harmful substances, ensuring our clothing is safe and not harmful to human health.
Go through your wardrobe and have a hunt for this label on your clothes, you might be surprised just how rare it really is…
We’re committed to producing safe and natural clothing, and our Oeko-Tex Standard 100® Certification holds us accountable to do so.
We’re taking a stand to reduce this.
How?
While we’re a sucker for a beautiful clothing detail like the subtle box pleats in our All-Day Wide Leg Pants, we’re also all about the little things we do that make a big difference to the planet:
Put the planet and people before profits, always.
Use the most sustainable fabrics available and focus on slow, innovative design.
Produce locally, pay our workers fairly and provide a safe and happy work environment for our team.
Advocate continuously for Diversity + Inclusion inside and outside of our business.
To spend at least 50% of non-labor expenses with independent suppliers local to where the company operates.
