Probably not.
You might think I'm trying to sell some magic potion or self-improvement program. But I'm not.
I'm giving you the truth.
Everyone has bad days. The kind of days where everything goes wrong.
When your cab breaks down on the way to the airport and you miss your flight, when you get totally soaked by a bus hitting a puddle at that perfect moment while wearing your chicest, new white dress or when you work way too many hours without a thanks. These are fairly superficial examples but done to illustrate a point.
But when it does. You have a choice.
You can choose to be a victim. Or you can choose to be grateful.
Being grateful for a bus splashing you? Crazy beans! But really.
Maybe not particularly for that moment but for life in general. For the good things, which will help put that moment of outfit-ruining bus splashing seem inconsequential.
We can feel like our circumstances are out of our control, or that things are against us but if we stop and practice daily gratitude, things just get better.
Try it today. Every time something today doesn't go your way. Say thank you. For something in your life that is amazing. Possibly something that you may take for granted...but others may not.
Things will just feel lighter. Better.
A life lived with gratitude is a life well loved.
What are you grateful for?
Share it in the comments, or tweet it out #soulnotes
With gratitude,
encircled
