Winter Travel Essentials for the Everyday Traveler. Ethically made in Canada with sustainable and eco friendly materials.

February is the ideal time to escape winter's last hurrah.

To help you travel lighter on your next winter escape, I've put together three outfits perfect for travels to a warmer destination.

All outfits feature our versatile Chrysalis Cardi in Everglade. This one piece will save you will allow you to pack at a minimum 3-5 less pieces of clothing per trip.

Airport Outfit

The key to the perfect cold weather to warm weather airport outfit is versatility.

  • A lightweight pant, like our Dressy Sweatpants are great for the plane. Comfortable for long flights, and light enough to be tolerable for the transfer from airport to your destination in warmer climates.
  • I almost always wear a t-shirt on the plane. Here, our Nomadic V-Neck in Heathered Grey is shown. Alternatively, you could wear a loose tank top and layer with a cardigan.
  • Our Chrysalis Cardi in Teal styled as scarf (shown) or wrap, make the perfect snuggly airplane cover up {tutorial here}
  • Lastly, comfortable closed toe shoes. Here, a basic pair of Ballet Flats. As an alternative, you could wear converse, or other casual 'runners' that you can also wear as walking shoes at your end destination.

Daytime Outfit

When traveling in warm destinations, the easiest (and lightest to pack) daytime outfits in my opinion are dresses.

  • The perfect dress is easy to dress up for night time, and down for the day time hoursHere, our Chrysalis Cardi in Everglade is styled as the Grecian Tunic {tutorial here}
  • Add a pair of cute sandals. Again, these sandals are relatively flat but have a few flashes of silver/white so could easily be dressed up.
  • Hat. Needed to keep the sun off your face. A hat also makes the daytime beach outfit more casual.

The only thing missing is a big beach tote (and your bathing suit + towel of course).

Evening Outfit

Evening outfits for winter escapes are so easy! Just take that daytime dress + add some sparkle.

  • The Dress. A more dressy look can be achieved with our Chrysalis Cardi by styling it as the one-shoulder gown {tutorial here}. Make sure to bring the right bra to wear with this -- I recommend a bandeau or strapless bra.
  • Dressy-casual sandals. They're back! The hint of silver/white make these shoes easily glammed up for the evening. Gentle wedge heel is comfortable but adds interest.
  • A clutch. This straw bag is perfect fora beach vacation.
