Disregard the comment above re: tailoring. That person didn’t “get” the type of clothing you were showing. You weren’t wearing suits or even trousers. But I’m sure you already knew to take that comment in context. I think the writer may have been my mother-in-law. She wants to tailor everything, including underpants!
