Sleeve length adjusts with a hidden snap in the shoulder so you can wear it short sleeve, cap sleeve or sleeveless.

Ethically-Made Clothing

Encircled clothing is locally-made within 60km of our studio in Toronto, Canada at garment factories we vet for standards against our Ethical Code of Conduct checklist.

Local production in Canada means fair wages, safe working conditions, regulated time off, provincially funded health care and the right to unionize. Workers are protected by the Province of Ontario Employee Standards Act. We visit factories regularly, often weekly if not more frequenlty.

We prioritize working with local production on every component from labels, to zippers, to fabric due to the higher quality and standard of life offered to those who make the products locally in Canada.

Environmentally-Conscious

Low impact dyes that are free of harmful chemicals, and tested to be safe for your skin and safe for the workers harvesting, knitting and dying the fabric.

A large portion of our fabric (approx. 50%) is knit and dyed locally in Ontario, reducing our carbon footprint significantly.

Every fabric contains naturally-derived fibres that meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability. Read more on the Fabric below for each style.

Where noted, our fabrics are certified yarns, which means that they're sustainably-sourced in a way that honours the planet in the process.

This top has fast become a work staple for me. The plus size (3x) is flattering, the material is amazing, and the fit is on point. I love the versatility! The tank style is a little awkward with the ‘wrap’ of the sleeve, wish there was a simple less bulky snap solution to that.
Now please expand the comfy dress shirt to extended sizes too!

Exactly my style!

I really liked it, I think it's cool that I can adjust it slightly for a different look. Took it on a cruise! perfect travel top. I bought an XL . Fit perfect around waist but top was a little looser. Made me conscious of cleavage and bra straps in casual settings. But I love the drapey style.

Comfortable and Gorgeous!

I just love this top! The fabric is soft and comfortable and the cut is flattering. After purchasing, I saw notes in the reviews that it tends to fit big and I had been thinking the same. For my next one, I might try one size down, but I am still very happy with the results of buying per the sizing guide. I wish it came with a card explaining the 8 options! It was easy to figure out 4 of them and I can see how 2 others look in the online photos, but I have no clue for the other 2, and it would be helpful to have instructions. The top washes beautifully (I put in in the machine on delicate and then hang to dry - no wrinkles). I think I could easily own a few of these as staples in my summer wardrobe!

Versatile and comfortable!

I have been looking at the website for at least a year, and this is my first purchase, and so far, I love it!! Already bought a 2nd piece and I am anxiously awaiting it’s arrival!

Evolve Top is so versatile. I have 2!

This is my 2nd Evolve Top (also have a Cardi - my 1st purchase and intro to Encircled). I sized down 1 size for the Evolve Top - good choice - as I like the fit through the chest/body a bit closer. Sleeves can be down or half-way up and it can be worn front or back. However the armpit holes are too small to roll the sleeves into the "tank-top" style for me, as the sleeve fabric takes up the space. Fabric hangs and wears well, and washes well too (air dry/lay flat). Worth the price for the "4" tops that I can get out of it. If you're thinking about it (long & hard, like I did), just go for it.

The fit of The Evolve top is drapey and tapers in at the hip. It fits large. We recommend you size down one size.

The fabric on The Evolve top has a 4-way stretch that will stretch to fit within ~1-2" of the measurements shown.

🍃 Modal Evolve Top made from a blend of Lenzing Modal® | Spandex

Modal is a naturally derived, plant-based fabric cultivated from beech-tree pulp which is sustainably sourced in Austria, and neighbouring countries. Modal is made through an environmentally-conscious process where 95% of water and materials used to make the fabric are recycled. The fabric is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified which means it is free of harmful chemicals.

🍃 High Twist Tencel Evolve Top made from a blend of TENCEL™ Lyocell | Spandex

The TENCEL™ Lyocell Evolve Top is more structured compared to our original Modal Evolve Top, while still offering an ultra-soft and stretchy feel. This fabric will hold its gorgeous drapey shape all day long. TENCEL™ Lyocell is made in a closed-loop process, meaning no water, harmful chemicals or bi-products were released back into the environment. Dyes are hypo-allergenic and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified to be free of harmful chemicals.

Care

Machine wash on the gentle cycle, preferably inside out. For best care, hand wash and lay flat to dry. Do not dry clean, and do not put in the dryer. A light iron can be used if needed, but please use a towel in between the iron and garment.
